Light of Life Rescue Mission – Pittsburgh, PA
In 2020, Capital for Compassion obtained $1.6 million in NMTC funding for the first phase of Light of Life Rescue Mission’s Opening New Doors project, and a $749,999 AHP grant for the second phase. The $7.5 million first phase relocates a portion of services to a new, more optimal site for homeless men, women, and children, with 50 beds of overnight shelter, a playroom, chapel, prayer room, and supportive services. The $4.2 million second phase renovates and expands an existing site with 40 housing units, adding a third floor and space for classes and recreation for the long term recovery programs.
