Union Gospel Mission of Salem – Salem, OR

Capital for Compassion obtained $2.3 million in NMTC funding in 2020 and a $2.0 million AHP grant in 2018 to finance Union Gospel Mission of Salem’s $13.0 million project to build a new facility for homeless men.  The building features 305 beds for emergency and transitional housing, an expanded dining room, case management space, administration area, space for recreational and educational activities, and the addition of mental health services.
