Union Rescue Mission Los Angeles – Los Angeles, CA

The $2.7 million Skid Row project received a $1.0 million AHP grant in 2004 and a $911,000 AHP grant in 2005 to rehabilitate 466 housing units for men, women, and children, which includes emergency shelter, a 14 day detox program, long term recovery programs, and transitional housing.

In 2006, the $9.8 million Hope Gardens project received a $1.0 million AHP grant to rehabilitate a vacant retirement center on 71 rural acres into a long term residential program with 85 housing units for homeless women and children.

The $35.6 million Angeles House project secured $6.1 million in NMTC funding in 2020, as well as a $1.15 million AHP grant, to build a new facility with 86 transitional housing units for homeless families, a computer lab, classroom, daycare facility, and a medical and dental clinic.
